Abuja Fringe

Abuja Fringe Festival is an open access multidisciplinary arts festival and a not-for-profit ongoing development initiative committed to developing artists as well as finding new voices in the Northern Nigeria creative industry.

Abuja Fringe supports local artists to present a creative mix of theatre, poetry, film, spoken word, magic, cabaret shows, exhibitions, literature, dance, and music etc. This initiative follows our goal to promote inclusive economic growth and development in Nigeria’s Artists’ Communities via entrepreneurship, women’s empowerment, youth engagement, and cultural exchange.

Lagos Fringe has grown in the number of performances, as well as the size of participants and audience engagement since its launch in 2018. It is currently one the largest outdoor festivals in West Africa. In November 2018 &2019, the festival held for 8 days and 6 days respectively, featuring over 156 shows in about 21 venues with a combined attendance of over 5500 people while employing over 70 personnel every year. The Lagos Fringe hashtag had over 85 million impressions on social media and our content reached over 12 million through print, radio and television.
